Active Lifestyles Stroud District is launching its Safer Swim Campaign, aimed at promoting water safety and safe behaviours around open water across the district.
As part of this initiative, Stroud District Council are working to raise awareness of vital water safety messages, particularly in areas with canals, lakes, and other open-water locations where risks are often underestimated. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us promote this campaign locally.
See their campaign posters here which communicate key safety messages, including the importance of avoiding unsupervised swimming, recognising hidden dangers in open water, and following the RLSS UK Water Safety Code. These resources emphasise simple but potentially life-saving actions such as “Stop & Think”, “Stay Together in an emergency call 999 and “Float”.
