DESCRIPTION:For the grand finale of our ‘Sun Days at the Ship’ series….\nDrum roll\, please… \nThe Stonehouse Regatta is back! \nA beloved annual tradition from Victorian times\, and started by landlord of the Shipp Inn Robert Larkin (check out the Stroudwater History website for more information)\, the Stonehouse Regatta is making a return — and you’re invited to take part! \nPlease note: No parking at the event but easy to get to by bike or on foot along the canal towpath. \nOn the Water:\nLed by the fantastic team at Stroud Canoe Club\, the regatta will feature canoe races\, water polo and other surprises with qualified coaches on hand.\nYou’ll be on the water for about an hour\, competing against other teams.\nCanoes fit 2 adults or 4 small children (or 2 adults + 2 young kids)\nMinimum age: 7 years\nBooking required – Click here to reserve your spot! \nA Nod to the Past:\nThe original regatta featured races\, a funfair\, and even Bovril bombs.
