From Saturday 23 May to early hours of Tuesday 9 June, we’ll be undertaking essential upgrade work to overhead power equipment, as well as track renewal work in the Patchway area of Bristol.
During this time, replacement bus services will run between Bristol Parkway and Newport. Some trains will run hourly between London Paddington and Swansea/Carmarthen by using an alternative route – stopping at Gloucester instead of Bristol Parkway. Trains will also run between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway at peak periods only – customers should travel via Bristol Temple Meads instead at off-peak times.
On Sunday 24 May, services won’t be diverting via Gloucester and will therefore only run between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway, and between Newport and Swansea.
